Introducing Visdio: Bridging the Gap in Accessibility

Developed in 2017, Visdio aims to provide full communication access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, serving as a bridge between communities in public settings.

Visdio is a user-friendly service designed to enhance accessibility in public venues. Using unique QR codes placed next to text descriptions, users can easily access videos of actors signing the text content on their smartphones.

Making Your Content Accessible Benefits Everyone

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), enacted over 30 years ago in 1990, marked a significant milestone in ensuring equal rights and opportunities for people with disabilities in the United States. However, as technology and societal norms have evolved, new challenges have emerged for individuals with disabilities, particularly in the realm of digital accessibility.

While accessibility has long been a concern in physical spaces for people with hearing loss, it also extends to the vast digital landscape of the internet and interactive media. Despite advancements, many digital presentations, educational videos, and evolving online exhibitions still lack full accessibility for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

By ensuring that your content is inclusive and accessible to all, you have the power to drive positive change and create a more inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities.
